Strategy Scaled to Win

Which Side worked closely with the Alaska Democratic Party to craft three different series of digital ads, each with two different variations. Each series worked to tap into a different aspect of the race at hand.

what we BROUGHT to the table:

Which Side’s ad strategy was designed to meet the immense scale of the task at-hand, while refusing to compromise on power and effectiveness. This was achieved by first deciding what messages would help our state campaigns win voters, and then deciding which series applied best to their needs. These series were:

  • Pro Candidate Ads focused on the strengths of Democrat/Nonpartisan candidates on the ballot.
  • Opposition Ads focused on exposing the corruption + flaws on Democratic/Nonpartisan opponents.
  • Comparison Ads offering a “tale of the tape” to see where competing campaigns stack up on the issues that count.

ads hubs & landing pages

Digging Deeper on the Issues

When viewers clicked on an advertisement, they were brought to a webpage that gave more detail on the issues. This allowed the Alaska Democratic Party to go a step further in their messaging, educating viewers along the way.

what we Brought to the tablE:

Which Side designed the campaign so that each ad had its own corresponding page on the Alaska Democratic Party website, offering further insight into the issues. A viewer clicking on an advertisement was served additional relevant ads via these pages.

election hub

A One-Stop Election Resource

Elections cannot be won if voters cannot be mobilized. With this in mind, Which Side crafted an election hub as a one-stop resource for all the information Alaska voters would need to go to the polls in November.

what we BROUGHT to the table:

Which Side crafted a thorough hub ecosystem on the Alaska Democratic Party website that rose to the occasion of answering common questions surrounding election day. Within this hub, viewers would find resources like:

  • An election day countdown + calendar informing voters when the next important deadline was coming up.
  • Who’s Your Candidate page aggregating all of the Democratic + Dem-aligned nonpartisans to one easy-to-find place – complete with a “search by district” feature!
  • Detailed explainer pages answering commonly asked questions by voters + an integrated widget for voters to find their polling place.

veto-proof hub

Understanding the Mission

When the Alaska Democratic Party and their Nonpartisan allies set out to win a veto-proof majority over their Governor, Which Side’s most important task was figuring out how to message to voters.

what we Brought to the tablE:

Which Side developed a strategy based around five key issues at stake in the 2024 Alaska Elections – Saving Schools, Combatting Outmigration, Ensuring Community Safety, Tackling Addiction, and Families + Family Values. Which Side crafted a hub center on the Alaska Democratic Party website to explain the party’s stance on these issues in great detail, as well as explain how a veto-proof majority would work to make key strides in those areas.
